Augustine (Chris) Baca – President/CEO

Internationally recognized innovator and leader in the field of youth services and community development for 34 years; an innovator and leader in the Youth Services Field, Mr. Augustine Chris Baca has served as President and Chief Executive Officer of Youth Development, Inc. (YDI) since 1973. In addition, Mr. Baca has served as President and Chief Executive Officer of YES Housing, Inc. since its inception. As Board officer and executive of two non-profit organizations serving Central New Mexico, Mr. Baca oversees and manages numerous program budgets totaling 30 million dollars and full-time staff totaling 600. YDI is a social service agency that services 18,000 plus children, youth, and families on a yearly basis. YES Housing, Inc. is an entrepreneurial non-profit that builds, owns, and manages apartments with emphasis in affordable markets. Nationally recognized as an expert in youth development, juvenile justice, social service design, public administration, public policy, personnel management, and budgeting, Mr. Baca is an experienced non-profit executive with a record of over 34 years in proven accomplishments and degrees in Economics and Public Administration.

Joseph R. Ortega – Executive Vice President

Joe Ortega has 29+ years of development and property management. Formerly served as Executive Director of the Region VI Housing Authority from 1978 until 1993 and as Deputy Director of the New Mexico Mortgage Finance Authority from 1993 to 1999, when he joined YES Housing Inc. Throughout his career Mr. Ortega has developed and financed both single family and multifamily developments including new construction and acquisition/rehabilitation.

Clyde (Skip) Skinner – Vice President/CFO

Skip Skinner has 38+ years experience in Financial, Administrative, and Personnel management. He is a Certified as a Housing Tax Credit Professional with 11+ years experience in Real Estate acquisition, development, financing and feasibility analysis. Skip has been recognized by the Secretary of the Navy on four separate occasions for excellence in financial management, logistics support, material control, and customer service. Formally Operations Leading Chief, Force Supply, Naval Air Force, U.S. Pacific Fleet (1989-1993) and Chief Financial and Material Coordinator, Carrier Air Wing Two (1985- 1989).

Kathleen Lovato – Executive Assistant/Office Manager

Kathleen is the office manager for the corporate office and has 20 years of professional administrative experience. She manages and assists in a variety of administrative, real estate, and executive level activities for and on behalf of the Executive Vice President and other senior management.
