YES Housing, Inc. has a not-for-profit affiliate, YES NSP, LLC, which was created to develop affordable single family housing for low and moderate income households in New Mexico. YES Housing, Inc. has developed hundreds of affordable housing units serving very low to moderate income households as well as housing for the elderly and disabled.

YES NSP plans to purchase foreclosed, vacant houses in Sandoval, Valencia, Eddy, Chaves, Lea and Bernalillo (unincorporated city) counties and rehabilitate them. They will be brought up to building codes and be made energy efficient. These houses will then be sold to households with incomes below 120% of the area median income. The outcome will be to provide decent, safe, energy efficient houses to first time buyers and help stabilize neighborhoods as well as help increase the value of neighboring homes.

• Eligibility Criteria: An Applicant must

  • Occupy the residence as their primary residence

  • Complete HUD certified home buyer education and be able to secure a standard mortgage from a mortgage lender approved by the Mortgage Finance Authority

  • Be income eligible: gross annual income cannot exceed 120% of the area median income

  • Adhere to all other applicable program guidelines
