Asset Management Team

Rose Silva-Smith, Director of Asset Management, has more than 20 years experience in property management. She has achieved the Housing Credit Certified Professional designation, the Certified Occupancy Specialist designation, and is nearing the achievement of her Certified Housing Asset Manager designation.

Rose monitors and evaluates third party management agents as they address the fiscal, physical and regulatory compliance performance of the portfolio of properties owned by YES Housing Inc. She is responsible for the approval of operating and capital improvement budgets, assists with pre-development due diligence and market feasibility studies to ensure that the building design from a management or long term operating perspective will meet the owner’s goals, and supervises the Social Service Manager to ensure that the social benefits for our resident base is attained and maximized.

Tess Mirabal, Social Service Manager, oversees the coordination of all resident social service needs for its properties.  She has over 15 years experience in the social service field and has operated social service programs, specifically within public housing and Section 8 HUD housing properties, since 2000.  Tess provides ongoing training and guidance to support the service department employees and volunteer staff providing services to YES Housing residents.

Mark Alderete, Asset Management Assistant, has more than 10 years experience in Property Management, working for several Multi-state and National companies. He is a Certified Occupancy Specialist with broad experience in LIHTC, Bond and Conventional Multi-Family Housing. Mark surveys and tracks the marketing, financial, reporting and compliance requirements of the YES portfolio overseen by our professional Property Management companies, assisting the day to day responsibilities of our Director of Asset Management. He was granted a Master’s degree from the University of Michigan and has held various supervisory positions prior to working with YES Housing, Inc.
